A young woman has been flung from a fairground ride in Hull in front of shocked families leaving ‘a lot of blood.’
The woman fell from what is believed to be the AirMaxxx 360 ride just before 8pm and landed on the base of a nearby ride, thought to be The Sizzler.
A teenage boy was hit by the woman as she fell and he has been treated by paramedics for minor injuries.
A man at the scene said: ‘It’s been shut and the emergency services are there. There is a lot of blood. It doesn’t look good.’
The two rides have been closed while investigations by both police officers and health and safety officials from Hull City Council continue, and the woman has been rushed to hospital for treatment.
‘We do not believe her injuries are life threatening or life changing.
‘A teenage boy was struck by the woman as she fell. He thankfully only sustained minor injuries.
‘We have very well established plans in place with the council for any incident like this at the fair, and I want to thank everyone for their patience while we deal with this.
‘I am appealing for anyone who might have seen what happened, or who has any video footage of it to contact us.
According to people at the scene when it happened, police and paramedics were straight at the scene.
A woman was seen on the floor wearing a neck brace, but has since been moved.
